In a small storefront gallery space a second room is built in that is no larger than the glass front with the window and door. On entering the gallery, the viewer is at first unaware that he is already inside this cube construction, a reduced gallery space. A single light bulb illuminates the space. Opposite the window is an orange wall where the top right quarter opens out to the rear. Through it you can see into the space beyond which is painted black and unlit. The view from the brightly lit cube into the dark opening is unexpected, like a black hole or a view of the night sky. Gradually the construction and the duplicated gallery space become apparent.
